Beyond The Story With Andrea
Written by Andrea Benitez

Some people help you find a house. Others become part of the story of how that house became a home.
I first met Dominico Pagan in 2005, when I purchased my home after moving to Florida from Boston. I had sold my car before the move and was trying to settle into a new state while making sure my daughter could begin school.
One moment from that time has stayed with me for more than twenty years. After the sale was complete, Dominico learned that I needed transportation to enroll my daughter in her new elementary school. His responsibility as my realtor could easily have ended at the closing table, but it didn’t. He arranged for his former wife to give me a ride so I could take care of what mattered most: my child.
It may have seemed like a small gesture, but kindness often reveals itself in the moments when someone has nothing left to gain.

A Relationship Built on Trust
Over the years, Dominico became more than the realtor who helped me purchase a home. He became someone my family could trust. My mother and I have both bought and sold many properties with him, and I have confidently referred others to him because I know how seriously he takes the responsibility of representing his clients.
What has always distinguished Dominico is his honesty. He fights for the people he represents, pays attention to the details, and works to make sure they are not taken advantage of during decisions that can affect their families for years.
Real estate may be his profession, but service is what defines his work.

The People Behind the Impact
Beyond The Story With Andrea was created to recognize the human being behind the profession, accomplishment, or title. Dominico’s story belongs here because impact is not always measured by something extraordinary or public.
Sometimes impact looks like answering the phone. Keeping your word. Standing up for a client. Or making sure a mother new to Florida has a way to get her little girl enrolled in school.
More than two decades later, I still remember.
And perhaps that is one of the greatest measures of a life well lived: the kindness you give today may become a story someone carries for a lifetime.
